It looks very good for not having any work done
Thanks! It is actually pretty damn slim for HSM. I actually may need to let it out a bit for a better drape.
Welcome to Marbella!
State, in one of the devolved administrations. And I'm sure what I was wearing entirely passed him by! I enjoyed putting it together, though.
Hard to tell since in the one pic the tie is too dark to be able to see the weave and in the other it's obviously much lighter, but in general herringbone on herringbone is tough...if the tie is really dark it might work...but a grenadine or something would be better IMHO
Funny you say that as I had a navy grenadine out to wear first and changed it because I thought this worked better IRL. The real colour is closer to the top pic, quite dark but not quite navy. The herringbone is much wider on the coat and smaller on the tie so I think I'm getting away with it. I've always subscribed to the same basic rules as wearing stripes with patterns, that is if you are going to wear the same pattern together twice, make sure the proportions are at different scales (one thin and one wide etc).
Here is a bespoke DB suit made by my tailor, Piotr Kaminski in Warsaw, Poland. More pictures here at http://www.thefinedandy.com/double-breasted-suit-by-piotr-kaminski Looking forward to your comments.
You say the slacks are charcoal, but they look brown in the picture. I'm curious because I picked up a similar sport coat yesterday and wonder whether I can pair it with lighter brown slacks.
Summer in Australia and it's 14 degrees and raining! Hopefully back to sunny skies for the weekend. Happy Friday in the meantime.

Hmm not sure if a lighter brown or even a darker brown would work with the grey. The trousers are definitely charcoal though, the first pic was taken in natural light and second under flourescent light in my office making them appear brown. A md grey trouser works well with this jacket too FWIW.
hello mc. here's my country-city spectrum fail. I think it's a 9-8-4-3. worsted navy suit, broadcloth shirt, knit tie, suede loafers. geez, i need some plain black shoes.
Thanks, Charlies' Wardrobe. You confirmed my suspicion. Appreciate it.
Adriano and Sons?
You need a haircut my friend..
Wouldn't be surprised if this was a full suit; very nice either way.
Also, this looks like just the fabric I'd want for a tweed SC - who makes it/what is it?
reminded me of phat guido...
