The cut is classic. The slight stone wash is also classic. Steve Jobs' acid stone wash 501 dad's jeans is also a classic.

You have achieve that almost-midlife-crisis look fairly successfully. Its not flattering, but not as disastrous as this

p.s., I am not a fan of short effeminate jackets, but your blazer is very long.
i dont think i can write a page and half.

It's just rayon (viscose). So there you go. Since bamboo has popped up in a whole bunch of green consumer products there's a lot more of it to serve as the starting material for the basic cellulose source. Behaves exactly like any other rayon you might encounter. So this is most definitely not a "new"material.

Thank you! This makes perfect sense to me.

Rayon is not as evil as many people believe in terms of wearability. :hide: Durability is another matter altogether, particularly in terms of structural stability. A MAJOR drawback in a tailored garment.

well I was giving you a bit of a hard time I'll admit but I think the iPhone pix don't do the jacket or trousers justice if the texture isn't apparent. There's too much shadow and not enough resolution for the textures to come thru and really make an impression. I like that shirt tho'... got a BB one myself that is very similar.

I think you would be well advised to consider that it is essentially impossible to effectively evaluate something as nuanced as the overall effectiveness of a 'fit' and it's textures/contrasts on the screen of an Iphone. You do neither yourself nor the forum any favors by doing so.

Get a better look before you post, please.

it wasn't the screen on the iPhone I was using... it was his iPhone pic that was originally posted. And ya you're right... if you can't discern the subtlety of the differing textures that are integral to the fit then it's kind of a lost cause.

this is all true... I had a pretty nice SC made of bamboo fabric... not an expert on it myself but durable, and nice-looking for sure.

It does have a very "silk" feeling, kinda like a super 120's type wool, very light. I would say it wrinkles very much like super 1XX wools, which is to say more than a standard wool. But hanging overnight, or inside the bathroom after a shower, it smooths out fine.

The SC is double vented. It was at an outlet store a couple of years ago, retail was $895 and I think I got it for $120.00.
