You look like a statesman. I personally think the smaller half Windsor with the tall medium spread collar is very tasteful. You have my vote.

This is a really good first outing. However, to pick some nits, I think your jacket might be pushing the edge of just slightly too short.

Definitely the most understated ensemble I've ever seen on you. I like it a lot. Glad you kept the obnoxious scarf, though. The world needs more of those.

that jacket and the whole thing is very very well done... I like those wider lapels, could you tell us who made the jacket?

    Spoo,

    Vur nice!

A little brown in that square (or in the tie) woulda pushed it over the top IMO.

I'm actively working on getting my feet to swell up so that I can take those shoes off your feet. They MUST be mine!

I'm sure this has been covered, but is it ever recommended to wear a plain white shirt with a SC of any kind? I almost always go sans tie, so a white shirt makes the outfit look too empty to me.

For some reason I thought all your pants were cuffless, is this a new development?

The tie seems very wide though - I've noticed this on several of UC's more recent fits - and I really like almost everything else about them.

I like white shirts with blue jeans and a lighter-colored SC, as I feel a blue shirt will make for too much blue (is that possible?) I also wear white shirts under v neck sweaters with sport coats to not overwhelm a look.

    Jacket is Borrelli.

Tie is 3.75 inches wide. I'm done with skinny ties. I used to wear them exclusively, and I still think it's a great look, but I've moved on to more classic proportions.

The wide stuff looks trendy to my eye, UC. Tom Ford-ish. Nothing wrong with that, but if you're aiming for classic, I think you're tipping too far from your skinny stuff.

UC, how tall are you? and what size are your jackets, usually? just out of curiosity... it seems you and I have a similar build and I've realized that one of the things I like about your fits and Spoo's, NOBD and IST66's fits are the proportions, but hey are taller than me (prob 6' - 6'2") , I'm 5'10" at around 155 pounds, on the other hand you seem to be shorter than they are.

Many will tell you no, but that's crazy. White shirt is a blank canvas -- what you do with it is up to you.
