Flannel in light grey, medium gray, dark gray; brown; tan, mossy green; cords in various colors. I think that's a pretty versatile fabric to work with.

A lot to chew on, FC. Coincidentally, Will posted today about harmony.

Yeah unbelragazzo, tie is green and pocket square is a great mix of colours. Here's a closer pic.

This is what I've been wearing today - probably my last poorly fitting, OTR suit. It feels so good to be just about ten pounds away from my goal weight and having a waist at last, lol.

I hope things get better with MTM!

I myself have only recently come to appreciate that wool ties are best left to flannel or other fluffy fabrics. I tried one with a sharkskin and it just looked...off. Sleek business suiting with soft woolen tie fabrics are an odd juxtaposition. And not in an improvisational, pushing-the-boundries Yes or Supertramp kind of way. More like a Human Sexual Response b-side.

A silk tie always works. A wool one, less always.

SB's posts here are good examples. Take a look at gdl's posts in the CBD thread. You'll learn a lot.

Patrick R, I highly recommend (if you have not already) starting at the beginning of the CBD thread and reading the whole thing—including the existential debates about CBD, WAYWRN, and SF in general. There's a lot there, and I learned much from the pictures and the words accompanying them. If you look back at some of my earlier posts, you'll see that I've had my own evolution. I've also been working my way through the Andersen & Sheppard Expatriates thread. Lots of the picture links are broken, but you can use the Wayback Machine to find archived versions of many of them.
