Please forgive the rubbish lighting gents !
FWIW I think the jeans you're wearing already fit great, why do you need a new pair? Going the raw route?
Also, as an aside, is bespoke denim really necessary? I don't mean to hate, but I find it very hard to believe the time and effort is worth it for a casual garment. Especially considering there are a billion different brands/cuts out there. And that's coming from someone who wears jeans probably 4 days out of the week...
Deets on the trowel and/or murder weapon?
I'll see your tweed and raise you one:
Couple of reasons;
- Many of my favorite jeans are no longer made. Although LVC makes the same model the details and fabric are not the same. They no longer make the 38-40 inseam.
-I have a long inseam and it is hard to get jeans that can be washed and remain long enough
-There are certain details that I can't find currently in stores that I can get with bespoke
-I need a new pair of dark jeans
-Jack Knife bespoke jeans start at $200 so they are actually cheaper than most of the jeans in the better specialty shops.
I just wrote about my bespoke experience this morning on this thread. It was fun. Urban is going over today for his first visit.
Forgive the paraphrase, but is that a dagger I see embedded in the earth?
I am proud to say that, from looking only at the chin, I have mastered the task of deciphering o/o's identity. We all can safely call him Nick W. from now on.
Whoa, 38-40 inseam? That is ridiculous. How tall are you? From the pictures I would have guessed 32; 34 at the longest.
I can understand, now with your measurements and your source for jeans, why you would go bespoke. As a 31" inseam, athletic build, I can grab most any RRL pairs off the rack for a great fit. I suppose I should count my lucky stars.
Hot damn, Nick. Details on this sport coat?
Its a navy/white windowpane..makers are unimportant!
It's been a very long time.....
Do the math. 38-40 inch inseam of Levis STF 501XX shrink 4" making them 34-36. Then, if you want any cuff you need another 2". I'm usually a 34.5 - 35" inseam in a jean. So not at all ridiculous.
You forgot one of the buttons on your cuff...
Your victory is complete.
Nice jacket. I'm having a hard time imagining the top and bottom together. Any chance of a full-length?
This is a maneuver with a high degree of difficulty. I am pleasantly undecided about it.
You've been led down a blind alley, SG. o/o's action shots with the missus suggest that Old Woo has a bit more hair on top.
