[IMG] [IMG] I rarely post on here, as the average day in college does not warrant a tie and jacket. But today did... For the record, I put a white linen pocket square (tv fold) in after the picture. No full body shot unfortunately.

Nice suit,Rob. Not feeling the patch pockets though,I think the fabric screams for flap pockets.

Dude, you're not Neo, you're James effing Bond. We're you in Pakistan last night?

Thanks, I agree...it was originally a SC, but the hopsack wasn't apparent enough and it just looked like an orphaned suit jacket. I don't mind too much though, as in my job, and in most circles I'm in, no one would know a patch pocket from a pocket knife! [IMG]

Been a while. Here's a suit I purchased from Mike. Only took it ever-so-slightly right under the pits. I think the sleeves might be slightly short but still within acceptable range. Mike we're shockingly close in size. You have to sell me all your hand-me-downs. [IMG]

EAP, I am not a fan of this suit on you. You'd benefit from a lower buttoning point and more open quarters. I'd also let the sleeves out a 1/4". Additionally, the tie is a tad too narrow for the lapels, which makes your torso look disproportionate. Maybe a foof is in order?

Looking much better these days. I'd look for wider ties if I were you. You're kinda a big guy, so you're dominating the one you have on.

Actually I agree on the tie vs. the lapels. I never really understood the connection but it's as plain as day to me now.

I'm not sure how much lower the button can get before I'm in two-roll-one territory. But I see what you're saying about the quarters. That aside, fit-wise, I feel it's the best suit I have at the moment.

MATCHY MATCHY [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Nah not that big of a deal but I would've preferred a different PS choice. What tie is that if you don't mind me asking? Looks great.

Good move! Or as Clint Eastwood's character said in Heartbreak Ridge, " You adapt. You overcome. You improvise."
    Molto bene!!
Cheers! Luckily I had the white one because the plaid one was a total miss. No idea why I picked that out this morning.... [IMG]

    It does look better, yes.

I don't like that particular tan shade of shoes with navy. Lots of people do, I think, but it looks a bit off to me.

Thanks. What color would you have preferred instead? Dark brown would've worked, I think, but I don't have a good pair in dark brown... It's next on my list.

And a scowl for both days? I think the Dupioni looks amazing, and truly the mark of a gentleman that one actually has a suit that is perfect for garden parties (we will wait until you are invited to the races to see your full Morning Suit)...but I would have been shaking in my boots anytime someone got within five feet of me with an hors d'oeuvres or cocktail. Did your dapperness survive the event? [IMG]

ETA: I think the accessories with the Dupioni are spot-on as well, forgot to mention that...

I will learn how to smile, I promise. I survived....no major stains! [IMG]

Like the cloth here, but these look to have a disproportionately high front rise. Maybe it's just the pic?

Dupioni from the other pic is very nice; great color.

They are a bit high in the rise. It is not too high though. Polo, of course.

First fit: i think a darker ps would have been better. But nice shoez!
Second fit: great stuff, i might have preffered a brown or tan tie, taking up the colour of the trou. Apart from that, a winner!

Darker? Ok, maybe. I was trying to look very "springy," thus the pink, as opposed to white.

Those pants are black, white and blue. I guess the blend made them seem to have brown tones.

Really excellent colours and nice fit. Top notch, I'd say.

More closed fronts or a lower buttoning point on the jacket would probably suit the rise of those trousers better. Are the trousers part of a suit normally, by any chance? I have that issue with one or two suits; if I wear their trousers separately, it has to be in winter when I can add an odd waistcoat or jumper to mask the rise.

Yeah, they are orphaned suit pants. I think they would be perfect with a slim fitting DB.

MBreinin, you rock. Love the salvo of fits.

[IMG] [IMG] And, you are my hero, Neo. Thanks!!!

If I were forced to assume someone's life on this forum based on the WAYWRN pictures alone I'd be torn between Spoo and Neofinitia.

Spoomeister, am I mistaken, or is today's tie Charvet? No one else makes silk jacquard quite so reflective, or am I wrong?

Elegant, as always, and authoritative as well - perfect for the first day of playing the boss with a new employee.

Im absolutely knackered from a ridiculously busy day of training [IMG] and teh new asst is most defininitely SF approved [IMG] Mike - Pants look much better with cuffs Holdfast - Great red pants. Cant wait to wear mine. Are they Panta? Spoozy - That seems dangerously close to a SpooPose.... [IMG] (great fit though) PatrickBOOTH - MOAR. Fabric looks great. Too much break in the pants though [IMG] Lufty - Go USA! Threadbearer -Another SpooPose? Make sure you pay the royalties on the way out, please. Crusty - Im feeeeeeeling the cowboy boots!! To all those who commented today, thanks. The tie is a Charvet, purchased at the Vendome boutique in Paris. The PS appears matchy-ish, but the tie was grey/yellow and the PS was hunter green with yellow tips.
