he's referring to the shape/curve/contour of the jacket thru the bottom torso or your waist. it may be that you're holding the camera but look at your pix closely and notice the wrinkles and weird fabric pulling going on in that area. to get a better evaluation you should try to use a tripod and timer or have someone else take the pix while you stand naturally with arms at your sides. it may be a touch long but again hard to tell w/o full body shot from neck to shoes.

This is a safe and solid combo in terms of pieces and colors, WAM, but you've got some fit issues to address. The jacket appears to be too short, for instance, and the lower quarters open too high on your torso, exposing your belt buckle and tie tip. In addition, your slacks are too tapered to be worn that long (in my opinion). I believe you should have them shortened so that they don't stack around your ankles like skinny jeans. A very slight break is what's called for here.

I also recommend carrying your phone in your jacket or in some other location where it doesn't compete with your junk.

Your shoes look very nice. Please provide details and post a closeup if it's not too much trouble.

Got ya, I think you're right. It's probably because I am holding the camera (at least I hope). Do you not like the shirt/tie combo? Thoughts on the tie? I'm thinking this tie may go well with a white shirt, and it would look stellar with a pink shirt however I do not really enjoy wearing pink shirts....

as it is just kinda meh, unremarkable. You don't need a pink shirt necessarily (particulalry if you don't like pink; you must be comfortable and confident) but as CDHagg pointed out you need something in the shirt/tie combo that is more interesting and has more contrast. there is nothing here that particularly draws the eye and I would agree you could benefit from a pocket square to provide another level of interest to the jacket's visual.

RLPL from a few years back, no? If I'm right, the fit looks great for RTW.

I highly doubt that's RTW, my bet is that it is Steed.

Do you like the tie? I think this tie will work well with the charcoal suit and a navy suit. Just may look better with a white shirt. But thanks for the advice on the pocket square you are probably right.

Vox has a lot of rtw stuff from the olden days and he seems to hold on to stuff - I wouldn't be surprised either way.

the tie itself seems fine... it's got a nice texture but IMO is too close to the color of the suit... you need more contrast, otherwise as I said, it is not very compelling.

I am having a very hard time with this suit and ties. I think I am going to try a red or blue tie. It will be conservative but will look sharp.

MERRY X-MAS SF-ERS. Good will to you and your loved ones. (And your wardrobes). Are we in for a week of sweaters and ties from inlaws?

Family and inlaws have left our abode until tomorrow and i'm rocking my son to sleep to Gillian Welch and Leonard Cohen - This is as good as it gets! :nodding:
