Talking about history I was reading last night some1880s tailors journal that was saying if your tailor is making something like something he made six months ago he was outdated. Todays tailors lack imagination. Many customer of today aren't any better. Even the 1960s suit buyers were more lively than those who write on this forum. So many people on this forum start bawling when the see something they have never seen before, even though it is old hat to others. The attitude from the past about new ideas of clothes is much better than those here who want to be stuck in a rut. Generations after generations of people welcomed new ideas. Even three months is truely outdated. A decade ago, those who wrote at Ask Andy, how many clothes have they sold? They are always buying something new. The livily fashions of the past were fast and nobody wanted to be outdated, even the tailors were part of the hype of new. Only the old men who were near death didn't care about rapture of fashions. This endless nonsense that goes on here of being like old men almost dead is ridiculous. The world of suits still has a lot to offer that is new, to be discoverd. Lets step to the future, not the past.
