Happy friday everyone. Does anyone know why my photo quality drops so much when I upload them? They look great when I edit them in iphoto them blah. Anyway, GDL, this is my shortest jacket per the earlier suggestion this week. I would submit it as the reason I think I need R length coats when this is closer to a short. Appreciate everyone thoughts. Cloth bunching at the thighs due to stance...not tightness :embar:

    Tangential thought:
Seeing my pic today, I think it makes for a good illustration of the point I've been making a few times about lapel real estate.
The Breanish today was cut by WW Chan before yesterday's flannel.
Between the two, I asked him to update my pattern by getting a tad more shoulder extension and wider lapels.

Side-by-side shows the differences - I do think the larger lapel surface and slightly wider top are more flattering - agree/disagree?

I like the blue one. Proportions seem better overall.

I honestly like the shoulder more on the SC. Though I think a closer, "natural" shoulder is more appropriate for SCs or blazers. I agree on the lapels though.

I am no expert but I do agree with you that the wider lapel's are more flattering. Though I like the pattern of the red Breanish coat for some reason the structure of it makes it look very long even though it seems to end at the correct length. This must be an optical illusion caused by the lapel width and shoulder as you note. How tall are you?

They are just poorly tied IMO; they look as if you just went halfway and stopped! :/ Either, go for no dimple or a proper dimple/fold (single/double) but with a finer touch. Try tying it a bit tighter!

HF: Pretty much what Alex said, but if you like how you do it, then keep on truckin', man. Forgive my aggro from yesterday. I'd just had a hellish commute/baseball/soccer/dinner shuffle with the kids.

gdl: I can see what you're getting at, but the substantial difference in the nature of the materials obscures the point. Both look good, though.

Now, back to my favorite subject, me:

Thanks, I have a personal aversion to corduroy though. Haha, I may try it anyways though.

Ouch, that's a first. Some one must not be a fan of medium length haircuts.

I really like that tie/shirt/SC combination. I wouldn't have anticipated that combo looking so good. Nicely done.

As sugarbutch noted, you have to get that suit tightened up.
