+2 or 3. Yes. I think so too. And really I wans't trying to find fault where none existed, only to see if fits which are generally really good, could be made superb. That's the aim for all of us, isn't it? First to get to that level of being really good, but once there, to tweak things at the margins until perfection is achieved...

Actually kind of surprised at the polo 1 love as I thought, in my novice eye, that it looked too broad in the shoulders/chest despite loving the pattern and fabric. IMHO I like the polo II cut on me best for suits and the polo I/corneliani look in sportcoats but that is just me.

    ^Is anything ever perfect? :ponder:

jeez... gotta have "balls" to wear anything that's not CBD in general I guess. I like the jacket and the colors... nothing "ballsy" to me but it's perception i guess. Is the shirt pink? Hard to get the whole vibe with fit and color all together from the 2nd pic.

C, bear in mind that shape is an area where personal preference comes into play. People tend to confuse shape and fit -- they're related, but not the same. Personally, I love a shaped coat. Some here aren't comfortable with that (and I don't mean gdl), and that's a fair opinion as well. But you dress well enough already that you can start staking out your own style. If you like shape, go for it. Same with lapel width. We can opine all day (I like skinny lapels!) but ultimately it's up to you.

Citan, I think that the polo II cut looks the best on you ... with (as others have suggested) less waist supression.

I like the Polo I, too. Note how the windowpane is not distorted around the button. :slayer:

    Requote because awesome.

Today. Tie is an old BB Makers, untipped, that I found in a thrift store. I am loving it.

gdl, that's a great jacket. I'm slowly culling & rebuilding, and a blue or grey houndstooth (gun club?) is next on my list. What's the fabric?

Citan, agree that the Polo I looks good. The II looks a bit snug. The Corleniani's shoulders are concave & not nice at all. Other than that, much is about styling (like Doc said). The Polos have more sweeping quarters, the BB slightly less so. Either is fine. After fit, you can just focus on what you like. You have the good sense to avoid ugly colors & crazy pattern explosions, and an appreciation for textures. All of which is refreshing.

The Corneliani was a close 2nd in my eyes but the shoulders on it did not look that good. The buttoning stance of the Polo II seemed a bit high to me.

Excellent use of spoiler tags, sir. Pants are chinos, a little lighter than the usual tone shade.
    Thanks.

Polo I if you like a softer look, BB Fitz if you like a bit more structure. However, I think all would look a bit nicer if the fronts were a bit more closed below the button. All splay open more than I personally like. However, this is probably more a matter of "different strokes" rather than anything prescriptive.

Feeling rather meh & uninspired today...

    Random OT question:

Best place to buy a plain white linen PS right now? SF vendor preferred.

PM if you want to not clutter everything up.
