1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

That's because people here are technologically challenged and they quote post with praises rather than thumb it up. Another thing that needs to change. That goes for the CBD thread too. Oh... and if you really have to quote, spoiler the pics please.

Not to say that there's no c-j activity in SWD WAYWT of course - there's a lot of that. But there's also a lot of negative feedback, which IMO helps as much as the positive.

I'm not sure that it is fear that stops me. But, you might be on to something that a visceral emotion is involved.

So basically, if you like something thumb up it. If you hate it, verbally tear it to shreads. I like it.

That furry chested Edmund poast upthread definitely needed a spoiler. I had to close the door to my office just to view the last few pages. Sheesh.

I'm thinking of doing my own, completely objective daily MC vs. SW&D fit battle thread. Mano a mano. I think this might actually be "constructive," a favorite word of some StyFo peeps for the last year or two.

I know that you have the phrase Fit Challenge[IMG] trademarked. So, I mention this since my phrase is Fit Battle, which implies some degree of physical discomfort and perhaps bloodshed.

Let me know if this is okay with you.

He is no more out of place than a 40 year old in skinny jeans and A&F necklace sporting a faux hawk. Yep. Saw it today at DFW.

It's his style and he does it with aplomb. Deal.

I have a purple silk/cotton shirt from Yohji. I bought it before I knew any better. Thankfully, it's about a size too big for me (16, probably), so I never actually wore it. But, going with the SW&D aesthetics of "things don't really have to fit as long as it's ironic/intentional and Yohji," I might post a fit. Incidentally, if anyone from SW&D is actually interested in acquiring that shirt, I will sell it cheaply. It has one chest pocket on the outside, and one on the inside with the stitching visible on the outside. Very cool!

G, thanks for the comment. Too hot for that.

At lounge waiting for flight, and just like the late VSart, monitoring this thread closely and looking great.

You going to Ed's on Friday?

I like to think of it as a niche of refined
    gentlemen rebelling against the constraints
of crony capitalism and taking advantage of
the ills (ill-fittings) of wall street to wear flowing
garb disguised as formalwear. the anti-fit army,
no not even army, special ops group of beautiful
fabrics and elegant style with a Wagnerian
    tradition-shattering take...

In the [true] spirit of this thread (more talk, less pics) and in remembrance of our dear senior member KB, today I wore:

Navy PRL woven linen jacket, unlined with white buttons (3b, side vented)
Navy/white butcher stripe PRL Regent custom fit shirt with contrast [white] collar
    Raw 501s
Shades of blue & gray striped BR socks
    AS Bristols
Tan Italian leather belt from PF
    No square
    Caravelle automatic watch
    PRL boxers

Business lunch at Manzo in Eataly (Flatiron)

Tagliata & Arugula dishes were good, even tho they ceased offering the Porterhouse at lunch. Had 2 single malts neat and am on a bottle right now.

Mmmmmm. Shaven Parmigiano-Reggiano is a godsend.

Which one of you followed me for four blocks and then complimented me on my shoes?

I'm dead serious. I'll shoot you a PM with some pics later. It's a $400660 (actually) shirt still with tags.

Nice. I'm wearing CK boxers, black ill-fitting Adidas shorts, white with black trimmings Rocawear athletic socks and a pair of Grenson Masterpiece loafers. This is everything, and this is the truth.
