The back alone deserves 1.000.000 reposts. Excellent!
Chilly Weather Linen [IMG] Shirt is pure linen, jacket partly.
I like everything but the shoulders.
I forgot it's contest day. This is just a regular fit for me. No linen. [IMG] [IMG] p.s. I fixed my tie knot after photo.
Up to your usual high standard.
Linen jacket. Cotton pretty much everywhere else. [IMG]
I like the buttons on that coat.

Nice coat. The tie knot needs some attention, though.

I like everything but the shoulders.

And the sleeves... Jacket has been heavily altered; couldn't part with it. Thanks.

Yet another rainy day in NYC. This suit, after this wearing, is making a visit to my tailor - it can use a bit of taking-in.

FWIW, and have at it, fellow posters . . .

I have never read anything about where it is appropriate to wear linen, certainly not in any book. It is simply common sense. Linen is warm weather wear. It isn't really even spring wear in NYC, which is where I believe NYR is wearing it, since this time of year in NYC can often still be sub-65 degrees. By the same token, when it become warm enough to wear linen in the city, no one in his right mind would wear jeans (assuming one has the option not to).

I really like Rob's contributions to this forum but sometimes I just think his outfits are off. This falls into that bucket, despite what the SF Group Think police have to say.

I don't think linen and jeans is an issue, I think their textures are a natural fit for each other. Yes it was 65 degrees in the afternoon, but 40 in the morning. Believe me, I don't take criticism personally, and I like to have some fun with what I wear, so fire away! Sometimes I fel an outfit of mine isn't aesthetically pleasing, but I don't think this is one of them.

    - I have to agree, Rob suffers from SF CompounedPetriDishSyndromeItis

I believe the CBD thread is offering a discount on the vaccination for this! [IMG]

Black shoes, or at least oxblood, would improve this, I think. Perhaps also a white shirt would pop the tie a bit more. Something about the cut of those slacks is making you look bell shaped, EAP. I suspect that they're too wide through the thigh for how narrow they are at the cuff, but that's just an uneducated guess. You might want to post this in the Fit Critique thread.

    - white or light blue shirt would freshen this & not a fan of the short with contrasting collar band
    - something not right about the suit.. Will wait for others with more time to dissect

I think you might both be right. The pants are pleated, and I had the legs slimmed, "but not too much". I think he might have gone slightly overboard at the cuffs.

Very nice, Spoo. You could even cross-post that in CBD...

Is it possible that your tailor only slimmed them from the knees down? He's given them kind of a jodhpurs-like silhouette, and that's not too flattering. Make him fix it, if possible.

This is, of course, a great look, Spoo, but I'm missing your playful (and signature) color combos lately.
