For better or worse, the admiration that my attire garnered this weekend was expressed only in platonic terms - so sorry to disappoint :satisfied:

this speaks to my inner gangster.

ok ok fine, just because i has stripes doesn't make it mafioso. in fact, while a description would make this everything I dislike about wearing suits and overcoats and ties and what not, the pictures obviously paint a completely different image. I don't know if it's your jubilant youthful expression or the over-the-top cufflinks or the pocket watch or that (silk?) scarf, but when assembled together in this manner i must say you look like a smashing chap ~_~

and now I imagine you to be great company over a nice pasta dinner ... is this true ?

i'm going to quote your pics over on the other side just because how much i like this outfit as an ensemble. with your permission, of course.

First off, at my age, anyone who will state that I have a "jubilant youthful expression" is fast on the road to becoming my new best friend.

The suit is from New & Lingwood, Jermyn St., London, and in London, the stripings are seen as more financial services industry than construction or waste management. The cufflinks are from M P Levene, Thurloe Place, South Kensington.

FYI, the scarf is silk, from Paul Stuart in NYC, and, ironically enough, I did have a very nice pasta dinner directly after the photo was taken (Strega, Hanover St., in the North End of Boston - burratta with prosciutto and tomato, followed by bucantini all' amatriciana). However, no violin cases containing hidden weaponry were observed during dinner.

As for quoting my picture, where exactly is "the other side" - SW &D? AAAC? FNB?

The suit is beautiful, but I don't really like the shirt in this context.

I have no idea what the last two were but swd is where you are in full shining glory. anyone that isn't quickly charmed by that smile is not human. and i mean this all in the least creepy way possible :uhoh:

what can you tell me about the fabric ? i wish it to be wool :inlove: or even linen, or some interesting fabric, or at least a chemically altered variant of cotton. i care little for run of the gin cotton, but i have a feeling you'll tell me otherwise re: this suit. and though I wear a tie once a year at most, making my collection of X number of ties redundant (I can't even recall how many I have), I would add that one to the collection. I have to get a suit altered, perhaps there is yet hope for me on this end, I just need to get rid of this last piece of indigo denim to be free of that monstrosity of a "uniform" piece.

i don't understand your choice of socks though, not sure if that is a valid criticism and it's not meant to be one. i am a fun socks kind of fellow

yes, but who would you rather have a beer with? My vote goes with Wagner (plus he wrote for brass so. much. better).

Had the day off from my internship due to the federal holiday, so, decided to head down to the uni to study. Tweed, jeans, and suede seemed appropriate. Sorry, not detail pictures but I have posted this sportcoat before and it is a bit different up close.

Better with brass, yes. But to socialize with? I'd prefer to enjoy a drink with old "Joe Green". He was little more human.
