Suited up for today

Fixed the ps after taking the pics...

fixing the socks would be more important, imo. maybe you can explain it for my understanding of suiting up with argyles?

I agree, I hate argyles, especially with a suit. Even in casual situations I find them too much, but that is just purely my opinion.

Yes, it is.
Thanks.
Here is today's effort. Suit is Isaia, shirt is Polo, tie is Altea (and has been seen here a gajillion times). For the record, I like Club Collars, and I wore them before Boardwalk Empire came out. :)

Not sure about the club collar with the slick pinstripes.

Stripes in shirt are too close to stripes in suit. Otherwise, looks really good. Just leave the jacket unbuttoned and you've got some disaffected panache :)

Thanks UC. And yep, though about the stripes and maybe just a plain light blue shirt would have been better choice.

And thanks Erik for your comments at thumbs up! :)

Well, I just like argyle socks I guess...

But I see your point that they might not be the best option with the three-piece suit (or with a suit in general). Thanks for reminding me about that.

Just great, thread-redeeming. A safe color palette but executed with total confidence and knowledge of the individual parts. I've missed your posts before, but now I will look for them eagerly. I'm also going to PM you about something.

Oops, I meant to quote AJV but I'll just remark here anyway. The fit looks much better than your usual, which I find too slim. This looks relaxed and better.

Nope; looks fine now. The v of the sweater now covers the points/buttons of the shirt collar, creating only a single aggregate v shape instead of the two differently angled v shapes when both shirt and jumper openings were fully visible. I appreciate that explanation verges on the Foo-ish in red squiggly line opacity, but it made sense when I typed it... ;)

Made sense when I read it too.
