Oh my! You know, I am surprised no-one has commented on this because it completely kills almost everything else that has bee posted on this thread recently. That waistcoat is just something else, the trousers are fantastic. I love the variety of patterns brought together by an almost monochrome concentration on navy. This is English style at its very best. And I just love that this is only 'semi-formal'. I would love to see you in full formal some time.

    Always a reliable choice. :fonz:

I know I'm wrong not to like this, but it appears to me as if Butler has forgotten to change out of his pajama bottoms.

    There. I said it. :hide:

Bad dog! Longshoremen do not wear pocket squares or loafers.

Where did you get that SC, sir, and do you have a closeup of the fabric?

    Projecting your inner desires... :p

We need a big Mr Sam alert beacon, sort of like the Bat-Signal... :)

Something of a fairly relaxed Friday...

By the way, if you ever happen to be in the vicinity of Swindon (as I was for a random appointment today) and you feel the urge to visit their "designer" outlet village, my advice is to resist. Hard. It's dire; real mid-market garbage and almost nothing of interest whatsoever. Thank god I live close to Bicester instead. I did however have the pleasure of driving through the Magic Roundabout a couple of times, which was actually more exciting than the outlet mall... ;)

That's a triple threat if I've ever seen one.

I posted this in the tailors thread, but would be curious as to what the masses thought.

    Too short to work?

It's a Ermenegildo Zegna made with "shetlair" fabric. Cloth is brown with two shades of purple windowpane. Nice texture to it, awesome for fall/winter. By my estimation it is a 42R (no size tag)

A shot of the back would be useful for determining if it's long enough, as CYA is rule #1. But I think it's probably too short given the two shots you posted.

Dumb question - how do you guys typically respond to messages left inside the "thumbs up" section?

Holdfast - the p/s is not burgundy. I dont know why you would think i'll use a burgundy p/s ... lol. its dark brown.

His pants are way down. If he pulls them up, it will be fine. I think he's fine. If he gets new pants. These are bad.

I'm not sure that's the case, at least from the side shot. There appears to be flesh in that curve....

wow. that was awkwardly worded, but whatever.

That is likely his wallet. I hope so, at least.

I agree that it does appear to be too short (does not CYA)

If you decide it is too short, shoot me the measurements (I am a pretty standard 42 R and Zegna is a good fit on me, I might be interested, as I love the fabric)
