    On the trousers, I think that is a trick of the light. I don't own any black trousers let alone trousers that are black as pitch. Those are a charcoal color that just seems to be translating into black.. I share your aversion to pitch black trousers.

    Why anyone who doesn't work for the Armoury would wear that tie is beyond me...

    I see single emblem ties like this in Men's Ex and other Japanese tailored men's clothing publications. Also, Al Bazar in Milan, their most popular tie has a "7" (for good luck) in the same spot. So there are places in Asia and Milan where the emblem top and center is common but I'm not a fan. I like the Amoury logo but not used like this. I like Holdfast's suggestion, smaller repeated pattern like a classic club tie.

    The suit is nice.
