I thought this thread would currently be the best place to ask advice on the style and fit of these two suits.

I am about 6', 225#, and wear a size 46 jacket. I'm not svelte, therefore not a lot of waist suppression in the jackets.

I know the pants are too long, but I would like overall opinion on fit of the suits, and which seems to look better on me.

I appreciate any, and all, constructive feedback.

Suit 2 much better IMHO. I don't like the high closure of Suit 1. It is the 3-button at its worst. You'd probably be well served by lapels a little wider than the ones in Suit 2, but that issue is secondary to the buttoning point to me.

Suit 2 looks much better at the front, IMO (and nice tie choice)! IDK if it fits better at the back, though. Also, and I know you've already stated, but you need to fix the trouser length! Also, the sleeve length, on jacket 2, is slightly too long! ;)

Kinda snuck in under the radar there, didn't you? The shoulders look to be a bit on the wide side but not objectionably so and I have come to like the pants to have less break than what you show but it looks pretty clean. Also, your left lapel is doing something funny just above the button point and though it may be related to your hand in the pocket pose, your semi robot close-up pose indicates it is still there. Low right shoulder might have something to do with it unless you still have your hand in your pocket. Next time, a full robot will be more helpful to look at. Otherwise, I wish I had represented as well on my first post but then, everyone needed Dig to kick around a bit. I'll wait for the 'color guys' to comment on the shirt/tie/square and overall suit color (is it really black?) but I do like teh footswear! Nice effort overall.

I like this look quite a bit, but there's something about the way your suits fit that make you look short. Maybe it's just your muscularity...I don't know.

A mud/obstacle course race just east of the City. I demolished all of my coworkers, but did not win like I expected (168 out 1,389).

    You are drunk. Thanks anyway.

    Thanks.

I'm starting to believe Fred. Who knew my most SF-approved fit involved mud and a bandanna.

Notice the matching of the bespoke coffee mug to the jacket, PS and square. Take notes, kids.
