There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Did you use a different knot in your tie today? It seems fatter than usual, which works with the fit I think.

Same knot, but the narrow blade of that tie is wider than average, so the whole knot becomes proportionately larger. Thanks!

By the way, the shirt/tie/pocket square matching on your most recent look is really clever. The socks... um, well... [IMG]

    ...

Really clever combo. I don't actually like it, in the sense it doesn't sing to me, but as a technical pattern & colour co-ordinating exercise it's really cleverly put together. Nice one!

    apologies for the giantism.
it was the first day of the bar exam.
luftvier and i were the best dressed men among thousands.
perhaps a picture of us both tomorrow.

Good luck with the bar exam. I certainly wasn't that well dressed for mine. Can you still pass the whole exam based solely on a solid Multistate score there or am I showing my age?
And, although I seem to be in the minority, I like the flash of the lighter shoes with the suit.

Thx for the tip Vox - pencilled in for Saturday night

Make sure that you have a driver and car, or a reliable taxi. It's in the middle of Boca.

    Sharp stuff.
Thank you. Your jacket today is... quite something. [IMG]

    Dark shirt

I'm gonna be the dissenting voice here (ironic, given my traditional defence of the dark/black shirt in WAYWRN). All these elements are good on their own but I don't think the jacket and shirt work together - the contrast with the light, earthy-toned, jacket is a bit off. With a grey jacket and everything else the same, this would be great.

I have no difficulty believing this. Good luck!

I see what you mean, but I prefer brown (in this case beige) and blue to grey and blue. The beige makes it warmer and more interesting.

Edit: here's another example with brown(s):

^ Not bad at all, Spoo. I'm not mad about the socks, but this is a tasteful look, indeed

Thanks Barima - I did it for shits and giggles.

Nice combo...aside from those socks. [IMG]

    Mike

Thanks Mike - I did it all for the nookie.

Why do you tempt me so? Lovely collar on the shirt.

Thanks! Buy one from me! You wont regret it! [IMG] I geeeve you good price, my friend. [IMG]

    ...

I would never in a million years wear this, but hot damn you make it work.

By the way, the shirt/tie/pocket square matching on your most recent look is really clever. The socks... um, well... [IMG]

Thanks C - I did it all for the glory of love.

    Everyone here looks so great!

Here's my first post to WAYWRN:

I'm a grad student, with limited means, so I generally pick up all my 'nice' clothes thrifting.

I was going for a conservative trad look, hence the pic is titled "Boo Tradley."

Vintage Southwick for Andover Shop Herringbone Tweed Sport Coat. Just picked this up yesterday, and it fits great w/o any alterations, sleeves could stand to be a 1/2" longer I think.

Shirt is BB non-iron, picked up a few years ago at Salvation Army for a couple of bucks. It's tenty, but not a problem with a jacket on.

Tie is a Navy, Purple, and Silver BB Makers Rep, also from SA.

Pants are Dockers slim fit khakis.

Shoes are Rockport penny loafers, picked up for a song on ebay.

Sorry for the bathroom cellphone shot...
