The button point actually looks quite high in that pic, its not really, infact its about 1" above the waist on my pants.

- I tend to agree with nii as you have a figure that supports long skirts/jacket well! though quite good as it is!

Low Camera Angle Effect (LCAE), is that clearer?

Vox, are you happy with the way the fronts (or 'quarters') open up?

They seem to be cut somewhat angular (almost like some of the A&S I've seen here recently, IIRC), as opposed to having a smoother curve, like here:

Do you have a preference either way, or do you just leave it up to the tailor?

Not sure what you're referring to.

Look at the bottom of the quarters; yours is cut with a smoother curve, Vox's have more straight lines. It's just a slight difference.

Of course, there's the very real possibility that I'm just imagining this...

You're seeing things, the waist is pulling because of my braces/shirt bunching.

I fixed those issues and have some new pics on the way, if they turned out ok.

^ Wot? I'm not talking about any pulling

It's about the shape of the coat's fronts (often called 'quarters' on here). FWIW I prefer the rounder cut on your coat (if the difference I think I see is indeed there).

Well, it is a curved but not like an Italian number. Here it is at forward:

Here's the jacket off, but with the windowpane shot more prominently, so you can see the curve against the check more easily:

As I mentioned in reply to incontro, today was the first wearing, and this was a pattern adjustment. So, I might have it tweaked more, or I might not. We'll see. This was also one of the suits where it was finished by a new tailor.

I'll see Mr. Deboise in a couple weeks for a fitting on a new DB, and I'll chat with him then about this one and my SBs going forward.

Ahhhh...the shear fun of bespoke clothes!

^ Thank you for sharing the extra pics.

So is the shape to your specifications or do you let different tailors just 'do their thing'?
