Enlighten us, SG. I am not a derby fan either (except for chukka's).
I'm not saying that everybody here has to like derby shoes. However, "knowing" Sander to a certain degree, I can envision the perfect shoe for his needs. In a derby style.

But it is in a technical/constructional sense, isn't it?
    Yep.

I'm sure that Alan had nothing to do with that flower. Some good-intentioned woman pinned that on him as he entered the door of whatever event he was attending -- thinking, of course, that she was completing his look.

I understand. I'm curious what you have in mind for him.

The visible pin ruins it for me. You might as well duct tape it on.

Aren't you a photographer? In all likelihood, the pin isn't visible to the naked eye.

    Very elegant.
What was the occasion, and is it Maltese?

    Phew...
    Nice wheels.
    ...
    Looking good PG.
I must have a play with a different lens next week.

Those shoes are definitely worth having resoled.

    Details:

    Boots - Barker 'Harrison'
    Jeans - Levi 501
    Lambswool roll-neck - DeHavilland
SC - Brook Taverner/Reid & Taylor (Scottish cloth for those that care - are they still weaving in Scotland or is it all in India now? How does the Indian cloth compare?).

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] First time poster here. I suppose I cultivate a deviation from the MC norm in that I have slightly more "Thom Brownesque" proportions, but I attempt to stay grounded in the classic while dabbling with the modern. Plus, I'm an engineering student and 18, I could dress myself in a garbage bag and still not be the least sartorially inclined person in the room. For kicks: [IMG]

Fantastic waxed canvas jacket -- details, if you don't mind terribly?
