BAM! This b&w is possibly the best pic of you that I have seen on here. Very nice!
Also, scrolling through at first I thought it was Chorse ...

What is the name of the check pattern on this coat? I cannot remember for the life of me. [IMG] [IMG]
    Gingham check.

    Thanks.
You know, I keep finding myself doing the same thing with pictures of Chorse. Long lost sartorial brothers?

I like your tie and jacket vey much, I am searching for some wider knit ties.

    Thank you.

Brooks Bros by me had a bunch on sale 50% off.

I picked mine up at the Factory Outlet for $10 each.

I'm sorry but this combination of patterns and colours don't work.

    At least, in my opinion.

^^Quite nice, except for the shirt - black/blue/purple is a bit too contusion-y for my tastes [IMG]- would have preferred a white or lighter blue shirt.

+1. I think that shirt is too casual for the rest of the fit. However, I like the photo skills in the close-ups and that pocket square looks really nice.

Thanks, Just got my first SLR Camera, so hopefully the skills continue to grow. One thing of love about this thread, is getting to bring two of my interests together, clothing and photography, get advice and grow in both.

mj - i forget who (maybe PG) gave you this advice sometime back ... less is more.

in this case, the busy-ness of the jacket clashes when you throw in the blue shirt, purple/black tie and multi-colored pocket square. there is just too much going on.

a crisp white shirt, maybe no tie and solid colored pocket square would have made this a winner. other options obviously exist too with a tie in the configuration.

also AAAC's color coordination article would help greatly.

May I add my voice to the chorus of congratulations.

Today's tie, coat pattern, and pocket square are right on!!!

Thanks guys, I almost went with an Blue OCBD perhaps that would have been a bit better. But whatever. I thought about the over busy thing, but it seemed okay to me, maybe I should have went for a coat with out the boldish overcheck.

I think the colors are fine, but the pattern of the coat throws it off for me, maybe a solid charcoal coat rather the the check?

So more people comment negatively when your fits are off, than on your wedding ... the beauty of SF

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I was actually thinking that some may comment on the fit of the morning coat, Perhaps the pictures didn't show the fit very well, maybe when I get some more. Like I said I thought I did everything right for traditional morning wear, but I ecpected SF to find something wrong [IMG], though the attempt at morning wear alone should be rather impressive for an american wedding.

Hello everyone. Forgive me not posting for a while. I'm otherwise occupied for a few weeks:

(and boy, did I pick the right time to flee the UK for some winter sun in Mauritius; it's turned into a mini-Ice Age in England by all reports! [IMG] )

Holdfast, nice pics. Looks like you're having a wonderful time.

I've gotten the same comments ... I take it as a compliment - Chorse is a classy guy (and a real gentleman to do business with).

Merrell boots? Recent snowfalls have me thinking of getting a pair.

Looks like Paraboot or an Italian make
