Shirt stripe and suit stripe are too close imo. Now please give me that tie. (Or at least tell me where you got it.)

    Colour combo works well.
Thanks, MoK. I had doubts about the white shirt with the stone slacks. It works better on the duck, I think.

Lovely tie/PS combo, dawg. Never would have thought of that, but now I'm gonna copy it.

    Woah! Splendid collar, Mike.

I almost bought those shoes after seeing them on you a while back. But then a better deal came up for a pair of similar Grenson's. Lovely, nonetheless!

Inaugural WAYWRN post! My first bespoke suit, second wearing.

    Very-very nice! Welcome. Post more.

I will have to try this combination at some point. I have a green knit tie that I really can never find a home for.....

Very nice Greg - among all the great pics that show up on this thread you and Threadbarer and the late lamented TC Houston probably have the style closest to that which I would like to emulate.

Thanks for the shout out. I shall return . . .

My first post on this thread even though I have been observing for a while. I have been inspired by many of you and your great style and attention to detail. You all have made me look closer at the fit of my dress clothes, but I have a dilemma as we lack quality tailors here in New Mexico (USA). I am traveling to NY soon and plan to take a few items to get professional advice and alteration.

You'll probably turn round and tell me the shirts identical to the white one, but this works better without a tie and I don't think it's just the colour.
    Guess what... [IMG]

Congratulations on your successful first bespoke. Very nice!

Why thank you Pocket Square Guy! I thought I'd go DB because it's so hard to find a good DB off the rack that both fits and flatters. Plus, I needed a chalk stripe anyway, so if you're going to go stripey, might as well double-down and do the DB thing.

You've probably gathered I'm no expert on fit, and not overlly picky about the fine details of fit, but bearing that in mind it looks great to my eyes [IMG]

    Thank you Man-o-Kent!

    Very-very nice! Welcome. Post more.

Thanks as well Acecow. Problem is getting the photo shoot. Not sure I can dragoon the house photographer into my office every day for such a narcisistic request ... but I'll try.

Incredible, worth a full requote. Does it damage the tie at all to put a collar pin through it?

Sometimes fits don't need a PS, this one feels like it does to break up the width of the chest. Colour combining is good.

I'd love to see a PS, but you look good!
Cheers gents! I agree about the PS ... considered a couple, couldn't decide - went without. Wearing PS's is still new to me. Slowly starting to build up the PS arsenal, but at least could have gone with white if nothing else.
Awkward pose [IMG] [IMG] but otherwise, the suit fits well.
Indeed, my shitty pictures are getting slightly better - but still quite shitty! [IMG] [IMG]
I didn't even know my feet could do that.

Shirt stripe and suit stripe are too close imo. Now please give me that tie. (Or at least tell me where you got it.)
Yeah, as I was putting it together I was thinking this could be better with a solid blue suit instead (or solid shirt but liked the shirt/tie combo and thought that would be boring). Decided to try it out anyways. The terrible picture does wash out the shirt a bit, but I do see your point and thought about it.

Tie is Kent Wang cashmere. It's a keeper for me. [IMG]
Between Kent, David Hober, Howard Yount, the wealth of knowledge here, this thread, Spoo, it's all just awesome and so well timed that I found this place right now. I feel I've learned a lot in a short amount of time, and still eager to learn and continue the process and transformation.

I'm a bit on the fence as to whether the colour combining looks a tad over contrived, but on balance I think it works pretty well.

I had the same reaction - with a greater leaning towards over contrived. Maybe it's the young face. But at the same time I also this it does work pretty well.

    [IMG][/SPOILER]
Digging this. Is the shirt Ecru or Green? I just picked up a similar pocket square yesterday... nice to see a good example of how to use it.

Love this - head to toe.

    Day:

the tie works with the jacket, but not with the pants. i think the pants actually dont work with either the jacket or tie, but more so the tie.

    nice suede chooz.
