Does the tie look too wide?

    • AE Shell Cordovan shoes
    • BR Monogram slim fit pants
    • Martin Dingman belt.
    • CEGO MTM shirt
    • Brioni tie

Broke out the new Sam Hober grenadine today. Ah, the texture!
It's not too short, by the way; it just looks that way 'cause it's blowin' in the wind.
The bag is a Slinger briefcase from Custom Hide.

Very nice! I might just believe that summer is still here.

Does this mean you are not in some wild locale at the present time?

^^ Trying a bit hard there.

Can you explain what you mean by that? Im actually subdued today. [IMG]

I like that square; is it a floral design?

    Yep, RT floral.

Going for the liquid metal look today, Spoo? Nice sheen on that suit.

    Mike

I am the Spoo-minator today. [IMG]

And while I am not ordinarily a fan of horizontal knit ties, I liked yours very much today.

    Back to Work Tuesday ...

    Well done, Nii. Nice.

I prefer your bolder cominations, but this looks well put together. Nice PS.

Thanks MoK - the metal suit was not bold enough for you? [IMG]

Your fit today was very nice- the only thing I would have swapped was the tie for something a little less baroque. Fabric on the suit is killer.

SpooPoker - Nice, I like those shoes.

Thanks - and I agree with whomever said your pants fit well. They always do.

The tie paired with that PS is helping me transition from summer to fall.

Im not ready to let summer go - although I have a slew of new commissions I am ready to crack open. [IMG]

@Spoo: I'd kill for your ties. Just saying. [IMG]

If I can supply a name for you, they are yours.

Great looking shoes, would you mind sharing the makers name?

    -LR

Thank you LR - they are a vintage EG Wright shell cordovan with new purple laces.

very shiny [IMG] i like it

I thought you would! [IMG] By the way - who makes most of your socks? They are very unique! [IMG]

    ...

The tie knot is interesting... its like an inverted vagina... in a good way!

OOOOOOO!!! Nice fabric, Nice Suit, Nice shoes (and socks[IMG] ) Unless I'm seeing something incorrectly, I think the sleeves on the jacket could have been pattern-matched better.

'Preciate it T - Yeah - I had some work done on the shoulders/arms and the pattern came off 1/8" or so. Does not bother me that much, but good eye.

This thread's on it's last legs.

Put up or shut up, son.

Trying the hidden button-down collar today

One of your best fits you have posted so far, IMO. Nice.

That is correct sir! Well, come to think of it greater DC area can be a lil wild at times. I still hate the lightweight wool in that blazer/ resulting arm-crinkling, but wait till u see the three roll two 20% cashmere 80% wool 100% awesome navy blazer for fall I found....it simply refuses to wrinkle [IMG]

I always think of you as the dude in the Indiana Jones movies who is perfectly turned out in a suit and tie as he wanders through the marketplace of a third-world country; everything neatly in place and free of dust as he steps over the beggars and people dying of cholera. [IMG]

Pretty cool. The jacket looks black rather than navy on my monitor, though. In fact, I think black would work better than navy, esp. with a linen or raw silk grey tie instead of the knit.

I've got the same tie in the same color. Thought I was the only one that was surprised by its dry hand. Looks great with the jacket & trou.

Thought I'd break the autumn wardrobe out a little early this year. Please excuse the "action" shot - my wife didn't give me a "1, 2, 3" as a warning.

    Nice jacket.

Someone definitely needs to photoshop some Force Lightning into this pic.

Please excuse the mess in the background!

A vivid picture that captures the brightness of the shirt and texture of the tie. That tie is beautiful.

I would give anything for my desk to be as messy as yours.
