I think I can answer that, as I used to have a plum-coloured jacket made of the same material, and it always had the same slightly crushed velvet/cotton rumpled tufted look in photos. Is it a Chenille ?

Good lord, those are strong colours. I feel it needs a tie (or losing the jacket) to pull it all together, but I wouldn't attempt to guess what colour that tie should be.
