Thank you. Not velvet though. Bonus points and a hero cookie to whoever can tell me what kind of fabric it is.

Washed wool?

And don't be such an Albertan. Of course Canada counts as ROW!

Interesting to have a pocket hank with a waistcoat... haven't seen that before. Not sure I'm convinced by the result though... maybe a different color? And vest looks a little short... maybe pants (with suspenders) worn higher? The khakis and loafers look a bit out of place with the formality of the contrast-collar shirt.

Thanks, that's a good point. Maybe a non-silk tie and square?

Did you happen to see the PBS production of South Pacific with original cast? Very well done and quite moving in my opinion.

I don't mind the button stance on this one -- do you think it's too low? The trousers could do with some slimming down and from the way the jacket creases horizontally, there might be slight issue with a long front, but you're also in movement, so who knows. I think this is a pretty nice suit.

^ Just wonder if it should gape open around the belt/waist area like that. I feel like maybe a 3 button, with the middle button a bit lower might work better.

The coat is Caruso and the tie is a silk/kashmir blend from a German company (i think) called Ascot.

I believe that I know the answer. But, I had to cheat.

So I shall disqualify myself. I would never have guessed the answer. Information on the tie?

No weight loss and the suit has my usual measurements - must have been the particularly rigid robot pose that did it. Could be something in the dissonance between hearing I wear 3/2 sack jackets and then seeing them waisted.

Very nice entry for the Redcoats who, along with the rest of the world, thoroughly trounced the U.S. yesterday.
