If you do not already have an employment attorney on retainer, think about it. That's actionable. If nothing else your "boss" needs a refresher from HR. I'm just sayin.
I get the feeling it's not meant to be an actual insult, more likely they've been working together for a while and it's just some sarcastic fun.
