Very cool. Two examples of combinations I'd never think of pairing, but wished I'd had. These fits are both great gentlemen, very well done.

I appreciate the sentiment--ad hominem was always a sentimental favorite--but back to his pulling-at-the-waist, bottom-button-thirty-degrees-from-top-button jacket. I really have nothing against well-tailored clothing. (At my size, there's no other option.) And overcompensation is natural. In the effort to wear clothes that fit, some guys will wind up with undersized clothing.

The fit isn't particularly bad. The pulling is minimal, and the location of the bottom button is clearly due to it being cut with very open quarters, not due to it being too small.

On the other hand, there is something very odd looking about the proportions, it somehow makes him look like he has a very small body and a huge head, though that could be just because of the camera angle...[IMG]

Wow...any idea what year that suit was cut...it is a truly singular double-breasted suit.

It is a Chester Barrie era suit. It is also very light and buttery. One of my favorites.

    Thanks!

Thanks, that's actually U-NI-TY (stupid name, but I like some of their stuff)...

I have a similar SC, vintage Neiman Marcus house brand. It is a very coarse wool, but completely unstructured or lined. It is too warm for summer though. I have to wait until fall, despite the lack of lining and relative light weight.

Vintage Southwick for Andover Shop Herringbone Tweed Sport Coat. Just picked this up yesterday, and it fits great w/o any alterations, sleeves could stand to be a 1/2" longer I think.

given the provenance and cost of these items, you look very good.

    day 2.

I know you are doing MTM suits, I think you now need to look at some MTM shirts, the collar is not doing you any favors in terms of shape. I think given your flashy dress (I don't mean that in a bad way) and the face of your shape, maybe look at a wide spread collar without too much collar height.

you need spread collars. This collar is killing it, in a bad sense.

    Lastly,
