You look like a young Liam Neeson somehow... I can't be the only one seeing it. Looking good. [IMG]

Wow. That is quite a suit. Have you ever actually worn all three pieces at the same time, I wonder if that might be a little warm and what shirt and tie would someone wear with a classic tweed three-piece?

Depends. You can throw in a checked shirt, just ensure that the scale is different than that of the check on the tweed. I'd do a discreet tie...maybe a grenadine. Patterns can work, though.

It's still just too effing warm here to wear the suit at all, really. I did wear the jacket with jeans and a French-blue shirt, to match with the window-pane pattern in the tweed. I suppose I'll wear a solid or almost-solid navy tie, maybe grenadine or silk-knit, with it later, when it gets cold enough to wear the entire get-up. I also tried a solid cream shirt, which seemed to work well.

I can hold on to it for you until it's cold enough, Mr. Neeson. >D

    Taken about a year ago.

Daks jacket, Cafe Cotton shirt, "forum" tie (non clothes related), Gieves & Hawkes hankie.

I was having a pink day

Lucky Strike, I agree you do look like a young Liam Neeson, and the tweed suit is beautiful.

I have a similar one with a red overcheck, can I ask where you got yours?

    Thanks Clarinetplayer!

The shirt is actually a pale pink, as is the buttonhole and watch face (pink/rose-ish).

The flash has washed out the colour quite a lot.

    Sky-blue pin-striped Hugo Boss suit.
Midnight blue Jantzen shirt with violet/pink/white stripes
    Purple/blue striped tie from ??? can't remember.
Assorted bits out of view - can't remember.

Me at a wedding in Brasil with my second cousin...that's me on the left. No, my head was not on fire but after the 10th complimentary glass of champagne and Johnnie Walker, it sure looked that way.

This picture not as good, same wedding. Which one am I??? [IMG] Sad part: 3/4ths of those women are my cousins.

    ^^

Don't call me a noob if I'm wrong here but if you're wearing patterns, aren't you supposed to mix them up? I feel like I'm seeing too many striped patterns.

Again, no expert, but if I was going to wear that suit, I'd probably wear a checkered shirt and a spotted tie. No?

I don't have a problem with the pattern matching but I suppose some might, then again, I'd probably stick some solid in there somewhere.

Thanks again, all! [IMG] Nonk - the suit was bought from David Saxby at Old Hat in Fulham - see this thread: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=19509

These are just my personal politics but... no patterned shirts with patterned suits. I've never seen it look that good. Textured is okay though.
