I bought a suede chukka boot from Hackett on yoox under the impression that CJ and AS once made and now Carmina is making those £350 shoes branded as Hackett. Well, they are actually Sanders Holborn!
And I read somebody say Sanders make shoes in Dominican Republic then relast back in UK, at least for Thom Browne. Just a quick check on this, wondering how Hackett's planning to win their customers back with Sanders specially they only sell their own Holborn for £215, and I dont know if there's higher bench grade or something from Sanders to do the justice.

hello, would anyone be so kind to identify these markings on a pair of country derby made in England. Who might be the manufacturer? Thank you.

Anyone recognize what’s left of this tag from an Austin Reed made in England sports jacket?

No clue but most probably Chester Barrie.

Assuming it's pretty old, I'd say probably Wensum before they outsourced manufacture from England. Chester Barrie for Austin Reed generally advertises it pretty clearly on the brand tag. Maybe you're right though @Purplelabel .

Not sure if I have the right idea to this thread but I love tags on Filson luggage and garment items. There is a coded language us "Filsonados" are familiar with that I'd like to share with you guys. Filson is an outfitter for outdoor, hunting, fishing, logging, travel, business, etc. They've been around since 1897 and outfitted many during the Klondike Gold Rush. They make some of the most durable luggage out there, that also fits in office settings. Their Tan Rugged Twill briefcases are still a very popular option for those who work on Wall Street.

When you come across a piece of luggage or particular garment item look for the tag, or as we call it "The Build Tag" and search for these 4 numbers, which we call "The Build Date" (date of manufacture). It will be in a coded format. Hope you guys are interested in hearing all this.

Example:
1010 = October 2010

You should wait for confirmation from someone who's 100% sure, but I think you are going to be real happy with the first one...

Beginning with A?
