    I posted this in a new thread, but someone suggested I post this here:

    Any idea who makes these? Someone suggested Cheaney and that the insert is a replacement. If they are English, does that mean they are a size smaller (8.5? 9?) than the 9.5 stamped?

    If they are English they could be half a size or a full size smaller in U.S. sizes it depends on the brand and the last.

    These have been partly resoled and reheeled. The do have Made in England in all caps (romans) across the arch. Small triangles along the stitch groove.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks...I think I am leaning toward Grenson now...any thoughts? Looks nearly identical except for the word "Grenson"
