That's what I thought. Here are a few pictures of mine, for reference.

Thanks guys. The heel on mine also looks similar to Reosymes' Mezlans, so I think that that is probably accurate.

Brooks brothers black fleece made in England, I'm sure this has been asked and answered but who makes these again?

Double row of nails usually means Alfred Sargent.

thanks, I had just bought them at a thrift shop and was dropping them off at a leather shop to have them cleaned up so i took the shot while moving, didn't realize how terrible it was, didn't even notice the second row. Appreciate it.

Flipped through this thread a bit and couldn't figure this out.

    I have this label:

The first post in the thread has this labeled as Caruso:

But then on brianpore's Tailored Consignment page, this Corneliani label looks identical, aside from it actually saying Corneliani.

    Which is it?

Well there's an obvious difference, that being the Corneliani has the drop labeled beneath the size. But in general, yes, it is has been discussed at great lengths how similar the tags are... one also says Corneliani...

I think the first page is wrong. It also says that the tag is from a blue label Polo suit and I don't believe Caruso has ever made blue label stuff. Your jacket is Corneliani.

They are old (90's?) and not black fleece, 100% Church's considering sizing marks on the sole.

I'm pretty sure that Pre-2006 Blue Label was made by Caruso

Definitely didn't seem that old, especially with the writing on the sole, but I'm not saying your wrong, I just saw the nail pattern and the brooks brothers made in England and new I had something so I got em, I was kinda in a rush so I may have just assumed they were BBBF when going over them and didn't really read the inner sole.... doesn't Cheaney make for Church's though? or is that only for the Royal Tweed line? Companies need to start making their own shoes

Well, I've never heard of them making blue label stuff and I've never seen any of the older stuff with Caruso tags. I have, however, seen a ton with Corneliani tags, both the old and more recent ones. I've seen ebay listing, incorrectly showing Corneliani tags and saying that Polo suit or jacket was made Caruso and Canali, both.

Both Corn and Canali have been known to have labels without drops, thats not a conclusive factor.

pretty sure this is wrong. Caruso has made for other RL lines, including RRL I believe. But never their Blue Polo Label.

Just what I've read, I could very well be wrong. I believe I got that info from PTO.

Judge a shoe only from the heel is never a good idea, it could be easily replaced, not considering that manufacturer nail patterns can vary.

BTW the shoes are 100% Church's, I don't know when they stopped to produce for BB, but I bet it was almost 15 years ago or more.
Search -Brooks Brothers Church's- here or on AAAC.

Cheaney made Church's "Royal Tweed" line for the US market, but they are easily recognizable by the size/last printed inside.
