Looks legit to me. I would expect the bidding to go through the roof though.

Ridiculous MSRP? Check. Douchey style? Check.

Yep, I'd say that's Dior.

Looks legit, and since the number of size 54 wearing dior is quite limited you could end up paying a good price for it (DH retains it's value much more than office wear though so keep that in mind...). I'm not sure DH is a good aesthetic for a size 43, especially if you're athletic as the cut is quite columnar instead of tappered like the Italians.

The tag is from the Holt Renfrew Last Call store (like NM in Canada) in Toronto. The red stamp means it was discounted to at least 50% off the last marked down price ($1589/2 = $795) although I remember some sales when all items with a mark down stamp were 80% off the last price (so the jacket would have been $317). Either way, it's real.

Bear in mind too that the quoted $4000 is in Canadian dollars if it's from Holts which is $3544 US today. And luxury goods like this often start off more expensive here. Nevertheless, at eBay prices, it could be a good deal.

I would guess real. You can find really good deals at the Last Call stores. I have a Dior Homme suit that I also got from Holt Renfrew Last Call that I am going to sell. I just haven't gotten around to putting it up on eBay yet.

Hmm, I may bid on it as I'm looking for a jacket of that type, but I am a bit concerned about fit. The dimensions do seem like they would work though. I have big shoulders so that would be my biggest concern. I wear a 44 jacket usually. Hmm, I should just stop by the dior boutique and try on a jacket in 52 EU, I imagine their sizes will be consistent from year to year?

Be careful on sizing as their sizes AREN'T consistent from year to year. The seller says that this one is from 2004, so the sizing now is probably fairly close. BUT, the early seasons (Reflection, Solitaire) had quite different cuts and sizes, which were slightly different from the middle seasons (Follow Me, Strip), which then were different from the more recent seasons. More recently, the cut has become larger and more democratic as Dior has gotten more and more popular. In the early days, if you were less than 6' and weighed more than 75 pounds, Dior was a tough fit.

Anyway, as others have mentioned, at a size 44R US, you may find Dior to be a tough fit if you haven't worn a lot of it before. It looks GREAT on somebody who is really tiny, but for anybody larger than a36R, it sometimes just doesn't work. I say that totally from experience (I'm 6' and 155 pounds and often Dior is too skinny for me). That being said, if the bidding stays low, for less than $500 it may just be worth a try. If you win it and then aren't crazy about the cut/fit/etc., I doubt you'd have difficulty selling it and getting your money back.

As I said, people with athletic builds will often find Dior Homme to be badly fitting...On the other hand due to thwe high resale value I doubt you would loose a lot of money if you bought it, didn't like it and had to put it back on ebay.

I'm gonna pass. I tried on a leather jacket in the boutique and it actually looked fairly good, but was uncomfortably tight in the shoulders, and I doubt I could even wear it with anything more than a t-shirt on.
