Hey Guys,

My dad sent me this email -- he was sent a mass email about a HK based tailor coming to Vancouver to make bespoke suits.

Anyone heard of these guys? If so, any good? Sounds fishy, but I dunno. Below is the email:

We are a family owned Bespoke Custom Tailors & Legal Outfitter based in London & Hong Kong now visiting Vancouver. We are renowned for our handmade suits, shirts, jackets, coats, dress suits and trousers for men and women. All our garments are hand cut and handmade precisely for your size and shape and taste.

As well, we regularly visit all major cities of Canada. Please click here for our full list of cities we visit.

Our specialist tailor, Shane Hira is showcasing our services in:

Vancouver from Tuesday 19th until Thursday 21st June 2012 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, located at 1088 Burrard Street Vancouver, BC V6Z 2R9.

Our prices are very reasonable with suits from US$579, handmade shirts from $80, top coats from $579, tuxedos from $599 and sports jackets from $399. Price depends on the fabric chosen, and we carry a huge selection of over 3000 cloths to choose from, including European designer cloths such as Dormeuil, Wain Shiell, Scabal, Zegna and more. All items are individually hand cut and handmade precisely for you, and with excellent finishing details.

We also have a few Special Packages available at the moment, such as 2 suits & 2 shirts for $1499, 3 suits, 5 shirts for $2199, shirts package and winter wardrobe package (please click here to see a PDF with more offers).

Hira's Fashion was established in London & Hong Kong in 1960. We are specialists in fitting Barristers & Solicitors in all commonwealth legal communities throughout the world and are one of only 2 companies worldwide that make horsehair barrister wigs, robes and judicial regalia.

To book an appointment, please reply to this e-mail or give Shane a call at (613) 979-4595. (Please take note that this number will be switched on from 19th June onward, any message left prior will be checked on this day).

Further information can be found on our website: www.hira-bespoke.com

As well if you wish to be informed about our other city or country schedules, please do let me know.

Best Regards,

Ashley Hira

Yep, I tried them out. I'm living in Perth, Australia, so I went to get a fitting from Andy when he was in town. I decided to get two suits, with two pairs of pants each.

They arrived in the mail. Fit great (to my surprise), and really comfortable -- not like wearing a "suit", but just a nice set of clothes. Exactly what I wanted.

Just watch out for price -- if you go for the nicer fabrics, you can spend a lot. But yes, it is real, and not a scam. I'm definitely thinking of ordering one more suit with one of the fabrics I passed up last time.
