Hello Style Forum

My employer Mr. S has asked me to conduct some research on his behalf.

He prefers three-piece suits with high-waisted trousers, and while he admires many aspects of Italian tailoring, has struggled to find Italian tailors who cut an adequately high waist (compared to English tailors).

Could any of you on this Forum make some recommendations?

Thank you in advance

Susan

You're looking for a custom tailor? If so, where?

Yes. Bespoke / Su Misura. He says he is interested in any tailors who cut a high-waisted trouser in Italy, so that could be Naples, Rome, Milan, or anywhere in between I imagine. Thank you!

Are you his Butler - this does not seem to be amongst duties of an employee. If he ahs an existing pair of such trousers surely he can go to a tailor himself and have him copy them?

As per @Manton I'd suggest staying away from the Italian tailors for this request.

Where are you located?

I have such trousers from Musella Dembech in Milan, and Elia Caliendo and Raffaele Iorio in Naples, and I am happy with all of them.

I was trained by Luigi Gallo in Rome. We alway cut a high waisted trouser and I learned to love them. I must confess I do not have a vast knowledge of a proper English trouser. All the trouser we cut and made had the waistband at or above the navel

Thank you all for your helpful input. I am his executive assistant. He told me in his experience with Italian tailors, many cut low-waisted trousers, and asked me to see if I could find the outliers. Thanks very much UnBel Ragazzo for those names.
