Nice mocs, and just what I was looking for. How did you size these? I'm a 9.5 in most shoes, so do you think a 9 or a 10 for me?

Is this the replacement pair you ordered?

No, those are still the old ones. The replacement pair was shipped about 10 days ago so I should have them now... unless something went wrong, which it did twice with a belt from Dents.

You could likely get away with a 9. They fit true to size and will definitely stretch a half size or so to form your foot. Depends if you want a fitted slipper that you have to use your hands to put on (get a 9), or if you just like to slip them on without bending over (get a 10).

Thanks Thrifter, just the info I needed.

Those are by Hackett in Horse and Hound tweed. I bought them on the'bay, and found out afterwards from the guy who made them (he posts here), that they were made as a sample for Hackett, but they never went ahead with the order. He tells me they are one of a kind!

Thanks, yes they did finally arrive yesterday: size is still not perfect but 9 would be too large. They are decently comfortable in 8.5, and I think they will eventually stretch slightly.

Cool slippers - green velvet is great together with e.g. beige corduroys and a pink cable knit sweater!

I would assume they would stretch with wearing. I'm going to order my pair from them soon. I'll post pics when I do and they arrive.

Do these silk slippers start to smell after a while if you wear them with bare feet? This was one of the main reasons I went with unlined leather.
