High quality beard trimmer

I wear a short beard. I'm looking for a high quality beard trimmer. I'm sick of the junky $40 Norelco's (they haven't made a good one in years) and Remington's. I really want a high quality unit that I won't want to throw away in a year. I'm thinking of buying a $120 or so Oster Professional clipper with a set of their interchangeable guide combs (of different lengths). Has anyone gone that route?

Oster is very good. I got a Wahl a few years ago for about $40.00 and the clipper heads were about another $5. It still works well.
