Beef jerky works for me. (not slim jims) About 15 g of protein per oz. I also like canned chicken in water, not as gross as you'd think. Also nuts are usually just high in fat.

When I used to run CC, I would try a different brand every week. They tasted like ****. Unless there have been some incredible bars released in the last 18 months, I stand by my statement. If they work for you, all the better. But I didn't find any good ones after searching for a while.

I don't know if I can eat cottage cheese. I haven't tried it in many years but I remember it being awful. Should just buy some Larabars. Nevermind, only 3-4g of protein per bar.

I always read about whey protein but I really don't know much about it. How much protein is in one or two scoopfuls from one of this huge jars at the grocery/health store?

Try mixing with peanut butter.

It varies, but many run about 20-25 g per scoop.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/proteinfinder.htm

That's pretty useful. You can search by amount of protein per serving, cost, etc etc.

+1. Add canned peaches (in the light syrup) to offset the consistency/taste. Really tasty (peaches are delicious), really easy, and terrific for you - low in calories, 0 fat, high in protein.

Hmm, this/peanut butter idea is compelling. I'll have to buy some this week and try it out.
