There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The normal advice for Alden's barrie last (and clark's desert boots) is to size down half a size, but my feet have high instep, so I wear my regular size on clarks. Would the same logic apply for the barrie last?

For reference, a 9E in shell perforated cap toe oxford fits comfortably and a 8D in shell blucher fits as well, but tighter (both are on the Alden Snap last). I can also wear RL (crocket jones) McCallum cordovan chukka boots in 9D, although there is some room in the shoe on all sides.

You know there's a dedicated Alden thread full of people more than happy to make wild ass guesses as to what size shoe you should get.

Ahh I apologize. For some reason I didn't think of that. A mod is welcome to close this thread I guess and I can repost it in that thread.
