Update here for all you bargain hunters... The Marshalls near my house has the following, and I would suspect that other locations would as well: Paper Denim jeans (saw the GTO 1-years, ICN 3-years, and also the Static Twist) for $50 AG jeans for $50 (light wash) Blue Cult for $80 (Medium wash) Earnest Sewn for $80 (medium-light wash) This is one time I really hate being broke, those Earnest Sewns were at such a good price. Thanks V-Man.. I might go down to check, it'll probably get one of those little dashes in front of my bank account balance. The dash is good, right?

If anyone finds (Brian.) a pair of GTO 1-years in a size 33 there, would be glad to compensate+. So pick 'em up please. Thanks.

All they had in 33's was a pair of Static Twisted.

LA Guy, how do you find the Earnest Sewns to fit? I tried on a pair of 32's and they were tight, and I normally take a 30 in most PDC cuts. This was not the 'Hutch', it was another cut (lighter wash, fairly slim, not much of a bootcut. Any idea on the name?

You probably tried on the Filson straightlegged model.  It is about the same fit as the Hutch, but with a straightlegg rather than a bootcut.  I find that Paper Denims, excepting the GTO, GTS, and SLM models, (and even with GTOs and GTSs, it really depends on the batches - there used to be seriously production issues) are definitely more generously fitted than the Earnest Sewns, particularly around the thighs.  For example, I am wearing a pair of modified LTD Visions today (thought that the pinstriping effect was a little too much, so used a set of black and blue sharpies to darken the pinstripes, washed the jeans, and repeated for about a dozen times - now the jeans look just lightly streaked, and one would be hard pressed to tell how I'd accomplished the effect - ah, duct tape and sharpie markers can accomplish all sorts of things) in size 32, and they are quite a bitt looser (I could wear a pair of 31s quite comfortably) than my size 33 Earnest Sewn Hutch jeans.

This is a shill, but I happen to have a pair of 33's in the Hutch B12 wash for sale - BNWT, for sure.

I'm headed there after work, I'll let you know what I find. There is a Loehmann's, Off 5th, Nordstrom Rack and Marshall's all in the same little square. all of these tend to carry some of the higher end jeans (although the ones at O5th generally suck).

I know that place. Sometimes there are good deals, but that little mall always struck me as a little sad.

It is quite sad (most shopping malls do have that bit of meloncholy floating around), it's poorly designed and usually desolate. Also, the Nordstrom Rack is like a zoo. But hell, it's home.

I think I have been to Marshall's maybe once. Where do they get their inventory? I thought I heard somewhere that their stuff is damaged? Or are you talking about Marshall Field's?

    Marshall's, not MF.

I checked ours out and had no luck with PDCs. They had only very large sizes.

I just checked out the local Marshall's. They had nothing but 'Polo Jeans' clothing. I might check out another one tomorrow.

None of the local Marshalls had any here either. The "best" stuff they had was some leftovers from abercrombie [IMG]

Send me a PM if you're looking for a particular size and brand. I might be able to help. And despite, LA Guys disdain for Energy, I should have the opportunity to pick up a few pairs in a dark denim with a light wash for around $50-60. Oh and I should being receiving a pair of G-Star in size 32 or 33 (tentative price $80-85 depending on shipping).

    cheers,
    NCT
