Once again, Ms. Simpson provides the perfect question. Can you deal with the apparent lack of intellect, and ...the in-laws? Her sister and father, to name only a few. I doubt my own villa in Tuscany, complete with personal tailor, would do the trick.
This is why I pity Nick Lachey, despite his being materially better-off than I will ever be in about a million different ways.

He did his time, and is now a free man. Now to the task of earning a respectable living. Sounds like he just got sprung from the big house. Poor guy. At least they didn't reproduce. Could you imagine Christmas at the Simpson's?

Correction: Exclusively seeking beautfully women. If that isn't mere posturing, it is noteworthy. It could be that fashion magazines and other media preferred by members raise their standards by depicting the beautiful as common and easily obtainable. It could be a defining of relationships as valuable for little else than sex. Or it could be other factors, such as innately strong aesthetic sense, that members might be able to explain.

It's a matter of pride, in my case, not a lowered risk of cheating (that risk doesn't exist). In a situation where physical relationships are pretty much all I'm tolerant for at the moment, looks matter. A lot.

Ugly girls are not necesarily good in bed either, I "took one for the team" for three years it Sucked. My family hated the fat bitch and she was Psycho, with a long history of mental issues/suicide attempts/having sex with anyone, nice to find all of this out when you have been stupidly dating a girl for over a year eh. The real question is why I stayed with her so long, it is mostly because she would do something stupid if the thought of me breaking up with her. When I actually did break up with her she tried killing herself a few times. I felt she may be doing society a favor, but Im not that cold.

On the other hand, my beautiful Yumi is great in bed, has an awesome sense of style, and is very cute. I think that its more about finding someone who fits your "best features" critique rather than going for the hottest girl around.

I think it's largely a question of what stage of life you're in. I'll be totally honest; I didn't get a whole lot of play in high-school. I was shy and reserved, had lots of friends but never the balls to go after the girls I really wanted. It actually makes me a bit depressed when I think about it, because upon reflection, I can identify some very cute girls that I probably could have had my way with.

As I got older I got better with girls. However, only in about the last year and a half have I really started to do well with women. I've now got lots of confidence, a kickass wardrobe, and have gotten quite good at conversing with attractive women. I'm no longer intimidated by them. So at this point in my life, unless someone absolutely incredible comes along, I'm playing catch-up and enjoying as many attractive women as I can.

I've had sex, even good sex, with average looking women in the past, but there's no need for that anymore because I've discovered that I CAN get the hot chicks I really want, so why settle for average? I'm not the type of guy that will sleep with someone he's not attracted to. When it comes down to it, I'm a bit neurotic and that definitely influences my choice of women. Back in high school I prefered to go without than to hook-up with someone I really wasn't attracted to. I've slipped-up once or twice, but overall I've been quite disciplined.

My other big fear is that everyone becomes less attractive as they age. If you start with an average looking girl, by the time she's 35 she might be hideous. If you start with a pretty girl that's quite slim, there's a higher chance of her still looking good at 35, 40, 50, etc. I'd hate to fall in love with an average looking girl and then have to dump her a few years down the line because the idea of sleeping with her repulsed me. This was really put in to perspective when I met the mother of a girl I was sleeping with. She was fat, had a beard, and that honestly scared the shit out of me.

That's fair enough. I met this one girl who was nice looking and we clicked, so to speak. We were doing well enough until I met her parents, which is where I drew the line for that one. Frankly, she couldn't have been hot enough to overcome that particular issue. Maybe I think too far ahead.

I don't think there's such a thing as thinking too far ahead. You're eventually going to fall in love and marry someone and you have no way of knowing which girl it will be from the start. If you've got issues with sleeping with unattractive women, then it should most definitely be a consideration right from the beginning in order to spare both you and her a lot of grief.

The one girl I've fallen for in the past was probably one of the least attractive girls I've slept with and she was rife with issues. However, I fell for her and it inevitably failed. Thank god though, because it was her mother that i was speaking of above.

You don't choose who you fall for, it just sort of happens without your thinking about it and that's the sort of thing I prefer not to leave to chance. Even back when I was dating that girl I fell for, my feelings for her crept up on me before we were even dating. I never would have given her a chance if I wasn't stuck in such close proximity to her all the time.

I look at this whole thing as not spoiling your appetite. If you stuff yourself with chips now, you might have to pass on the filet mignon later.

Proximity impacts physical attraction, perhaps through chemicals. In any event, worrying about what someone will look like in twenty years might be more common than in the past but it is not a root cause of increased appearance concern. A wider range of physical attractiveness might be a root cause. Fundamental color sense - most stylish people see color well - might even be a root cause, if for example it makes one more sensitive to coloring or skin blemishes.

If I understand the underlying question correctly then my answer is there is no correlation between stylishness and the esthetics of physical attraction. There is no connection between liking fine wines, shoes, or limited edition styleforum ties and liking attractive women in the general sense. I recall watching a show on Discovery regarding what's innately considered attractive, in which some male members of an indigenous tribe of the Amazon were shown varying pictures of female silhouettes and asked to choose which one they found more suitable. Instinctively most choose the silhouette corresponding with those perennial measurements most here would also be in consensus about. In regards to the obvious sex question, that's a two parter. There is the mental aspect in which case yes coitus with an attractive woman is far more gratifying usually than with an average looking one. Then there is the physical aspect in which case attractiveness has nothing to do with rhythm, attentiveness, or an understanding of the hedonistic arts.

In conclusion I say stylistically speaking both Roofus (the homeless gent who hassles me for change everytime I go to the liquor store) and myself are quite apart, I'm quite certain that we would both have about the same idea as to what we consider high forms of physically attractiveness.

I place a high importance on personal style.. I can be rather turned off by a beautiful girl in sweat pants but be enamored with a less-attractive one in fashionable clothing.

You can’t use a word in its own definition. You have already admitted that girl a. is beautiful despite what she was wearing as apposed to girl b. whose saving grace is what she is wearing. Beauty in the physical sense is quite quantifiable, taste is subjective.

My experience is that beautiful women (who arent sluts) tend to taste better than average/not so good looking/ugly women (who can or cant be sluts) [IMG]
