I've tried searching SF and Google with minimal success. I need a hidden placket, turn-down collar formal shirt to wear with a tux.

It has to be RTW b/c I need to use it in a month.

I'd also like to find something cheap - moderate b/c I will likely only wear it once. Any leads?

Can you attest to the quality of this? I know I might onyl wear it once, but if it is total garbage...

I have this shirt. It's nothing amazing but it's worth the price at least. It hasn't fallen apart on me.

Unless you are very fat, you will have to get it tailored. It is cut huge and the shoulders are wide.

Given the nature of this shirt, I've only worn it a couple of times.

As far as I know, this is the only cheap option that meets your specific requirements. I had the same requirements and searched for awhile before turning this up. I think if you want something with better quality fabric, you'll likely have to go bespoke -- I know T&A were offering a high-end version of this (a copy of their shirt for Bond in Casino Royale) but I suspect that's long gone at this point.

I would be delighted to share my opinions on plackets, but I am tied up right now.

I purchased a Brioni shirt like you described off e-bay about a year ago for my wedding this July. It was quite hard to find and I was extremely fortunate to find this one in my size (17.5, 36).

Now the question is, are you going to wear a waist covering with it? I'm still undecided but am leaning towards, no.

I got a Hugo Boss formal shirt with a hidden placket last night for 90 bucks. While I don't really like it, I'm going to assume that its a little better quality than the one mentioned earlier, and the fit isn't totally tent-like.

Thing is, it has a pleated front, which I really don't like. Oh well. The Brioni above looks really nice; if I had time, I'd have my MTM guy do one like that.
