Hickey suit from Bluefly.com fused?

Hi I've followed style forum for a few years now but this is my first time posting.

I recently purchased a solid navy blue Hickey by HF suit from bluefly.com that was advertised as half-canvassed, however, when I brought the suit to a local tailor for alterations, he cut into the lining and showed me the black interfacing inside and told me that the suit was fused.

Because the tailor cut into the suit, I won't be returning it, but just a bit disappointed because I thought it was half-canvassed.

Are most Hickey by HF suits fused and bluefly.com mislabel the suit? Has anyone else purchased a Hickey suit from bluefly.com and received a fused or half-canvassed suit? Thanks.

Thank you for the link. Was very informative. I'll perform the pinch test on the lapel and chest area of my suit once I get it from my tailor to see if it's possibly half-canvassed.
