Hello,

So I'm getting on a plane this afternoon to go spend the holiday with family. Problem is, I have a very visible hickey on my neck and very perceptive sisters. Any good way of hastening the recovery?

Thanks in advance,

Kohan.

edit: reason being, of course, just to avoid any awkward questions I don't feel like answering. Family asks a lot of those.

The answer to this problem is the same as most in life - wear an ascot.

Actually I've never understood how people actually get hickeys, it seems like you'd have to try to give one to somebody?

Either you are 15 years old or you date a vampire.

If you're good with make-up, that's also an option.

College student. I dislike sharing that kind of personal info with family--it's outside their purview.

Well, kind of yeah. I was in no position/mood to argue. And it's fun!

Or were you asking about the physics of it?....

The scratch marks on my back would suggest the latter, I suppose.

And let's be careful how we throw around the "D" word, wouldn't want to give people ideas now would we?

I never attempted to cover them; comments from my family ran rampant.

Serious answer: Go to CVS and buy a cover-up stick or an anti-zit stick that is skin-colored. Basically anything you can use to blend skin tones. Won't be perfect but it will help the situation loads.

I've heard Preparation H works.
I know Clinton used it to reduce the bags under his eyes...

I never really had you pegged as someone who'd ever had a hickey. And I say that with all due respect.
