Ok, new guy here, but I have found this forum to be a great source of information regarding tailored clothing and have learned a lot.
I bought a Hickey Freeman seersucker suit at a Neiman's Last Call this weekend (got it for a hair under $300, original retail was $1500) and upon cutting the threads to open the left pocket on the outside of the suit, I discovered that the pocket was, and still is, unfinished. Is this normal for Hickey Freeman? Being left handed, I will be somewhat offended if I find it is the norm. I have never had a suit like this. Is something wrong with my suit (besides the fact that it is seersucker)?
As a plus, I did get a look at the construction of the inside of the jacket, it appears to be half canvassed.
