I'm going to go on the last day and hope the suits are marked to nothing.

Ditto .
I waited for the last hour and made out like a bandit at the PS sale.
I am going to take a look-see the next day or 2 to see if there is anything decent for sale.

If past is prologue, the discounts will not be as steep if one waits until the end.

Okay just got back, a bit of a let down for me as things were limited in my size (42L).

Suits are $599 each or 3 for $1500. Most are the typical $1295/each suits that they have in the store. Also I found it interesting as a lot of the suits I picked up had the "house label" in them (e.g. Hickey Freeman for Britches, Hickey Freeman for Saks).

Trousers are $99.00 each or 3 for $275.00. Seem to be a good variety of trousers.

Ties are $3x.xx each (forgot) or 3 for a deal (forgot, sorry)

** and HF knit polos are 59.00 each

Dress shirts are 79.00 if I remeber correctly.

Smoking jackets for $149.00, although not many left.

Outerwear is were the deals are, the cashmere overcoats that are $1750 in the store are $799.00, a steal.

I hope to ride out the sale and wait until Friday to see if I can get some of the outerwear goods.

All in all, nothing impressive.

cloud9 said nothing from the handmade top-of-the-line in my size. I don't know if that applies to the other sizes

I did not see any of the hand made (Edward model) suits in either 42R or 43R. I believe the only suits were the Madison (most), some old Boardroom, some Canterbury.

Overall, I rate the sale fairly average. If you need a conservative 2B SB suit and like the Hicky fit, stop by and pick some up. The Bobby Jones knit golf shirts are $60 each, pretty decent value. The patterned golf shirts are going quickly and I doubt the selection will be very good after today.

There were lots of ties, but most are so boring.

I ended up buying a Jones golf shirt, 2 ties, and 1 pair of socks. I could easily have missed this sale and not have missed anything. I am not sure that I will keep the ties.

How would you rate the different HF suit models, in order of highest quality?

All are similar quality within each line. Of the HF Collection, I prefer the Madison and Canterbury models for styling (Madison sort of resembles the Zegna models that, say, NM carries).

Hmm, sounds like I'll pass this one up. After the Paul Stuart and Nancy Koltes (linens) sales, I need a break
