What does this mean?

"Canvas Front Construction
\t
Hickey Freeman uses the finest canvas for interlinings. Comprised of wool, cotton and goat hair, the canvas front is an exclusive light-weight construction that adds lasting shape and body to the coat front without the heavy stiffness of lesser quality canvas.

The hallmark of quality in a Hickey Freeman garment is immediately noticed in the graceful way the coat lapel rolls and in the way the coat front hugs the chest like a second skin."

They make reference to a canvased front? Maybe I'm a moron, but what about the back?

The canvas, along with the rose, goes in the front, big guy.

As I was writing, I was thinking there wasn't much structure to the back of my jackets...see line about me being a moron.

That genius fashion inventor, Eric Glennie,

last I heard he was working on canvassing the back of the jacket as part of his super high end line of clothing to rival the best from Naples.

Alas, poor Glennie, that has already been done. Along with a traditional dress-making service, the haute couture houses in Paris offer bespoke tailoring for women. The girlies like cloths so light that it is impossible to get them to tailor properly (thus confirming my suspicions about light super cloths being girlie cloths) so they have to canvas the entire back panels (with herringbone stitching across the upper shoulders) and upper sleeves! Personally, I think all of these modern light super clothes should be tailored the same way.
