Current haircut: http://tinypic.com/r/6nqcg6/6 Hi, it's been 2 months since I've had my last haircut, so I'd appreciate some advice. The one I usually have, and which I ask for, is very plain - relatively short, slightly shorter on the sides. I'm not too confident, and I'd like it if the haircut didn't catch too much attention (so some sort of undercut is not really an option). I was thinking of maybe growing it longer (maybe a lot longer), but I'm not sure about that at all. Also, I'd really like to hear the reasoning behind: Why my hair doesn't look that great at the moment, and why a certain haircut would look better instead. I'd like to get an idea of how haircuts work and how you can determine something like "this haircut would suit this guy, but it wouldn't suit this guy." How to style your hair - what is point of it, and what sort of look are you trying to achieve (generally), as opposed to not styling your hair at all. Why does styling make your hair look better, when styled properly. Basically, I'd just like to understand the 'theory' more. Right now when I see two haircuts, I can only tell they are different - if someone explained stuff like "this type of haircut keeps that part of the hair long, while the sides are very short, except for blabla..." that would be cool.
