Tagliatore are decent. They are half canvassed. I’d probably put them in the same range as Boglioli for a similar comparison.

If you like the styling etc. and it fits you then it’s probably worth picking up. It’s no where near the top range for suits, but you could do far worse and with a well fitting tagliatore suit you’d still probably be better dressed than 95% of guys at most functions.

It's a double breasted chalk-stripe; it leans quite heavily towards the business suit. Senior partner business suit. Personally, I've found that this style isn't that flexible. It's hard to wear as separates, and when worn as a suit you will definitely have a "board meeting" vibe.

My personal opinion is that there's two ways you can wear a suit like this: if you look like you're the senior partner of a venerable law firm, wear it like a business suit: black oxfords, silk tie, crisp white shirt. Alternatively, if you have a punk/rebel vibe, you MIGHT be able to dress it down: a non-collared shirt and chunky loafers, maybe?

Again, in my personal opinion it's hard to find a middle ground for a suit like this. If you wear it like a regular business suit but lack the gravitas it demands, you can easily look like a intern copying the CEOs look without understanding the subtle difference between various business suits. It can no doubt be pulled off, but it will be a tricky outfit to make work. For the record, I had a suit made in a similar fabric (single breasted, though) and I find myself never wearing it. Even though I DO match the stereotype of a senior partner (tall, lean, grey haired), it just looks too business-y for me.
