Hi Guys -

Speaking of Chinese companies, I have a question, following.

S.

#######

Hi -

This is Steve Downing in Clearwater, Florida.

I'm trying to reach wholesale men's suit manufacturers in China, Taiwan or Hong Kong, that go to fashion trade shows in the USA and that are trying to gain a foot-hold in the USA menswear market.

I have a business proposal, detailed below, that I wish to communicate to these companies, specified above. The exact person within the company that I need to communicate to is the Director of Marketing, International Sales Manager, etc.

The text of the proposal is included, below, but in summary I am asking to be a temporary, paid representative of their company, for the duration of a specified fashion or trade show in north America. I am a white American male, 6' 4" tall with excellent English speaking skills and an even more excellent wardrobe!

The intent behind the proposal is to put an "American face" on the company for the purpose of increasing communication and understanding, leading to more leads, more clients, more sales, more market share, etc.

Do you know of any Chinese companies that can use this service? Do you know of any email mailing list or email mailing list provider that can help me reach Chinese companies based on the criteria described above? If so, please email me at: [email protected]

Thank you.

Best, Steve Downing

Text of business proposal follows
############################

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to improve your sales and marketing team's effectiveness by helping to represent your company at fashion and trade shows in the United States.

I will join your fashion and trade show team as a live, in-booth member of your staff - on a temporary basis, for the duration of the show. I will assist their efforts in various ways resulting in specific market advantage for your company in the north American region, as follows:

Often-times a Chinese company that is attempting a foot-hold in the American market is in a position of unfamiliarity and communication deficit when talking to potential buyers and clients at trade and fashion shows. Having an “actual American” available at shows adds a high degree of familiarity and communicability and a correspondingly strong reality and understanding regarding that company, its goals and purposes, and its products, which in turn create a firm basis for future business relationships.

I am a native New Yorker, and I attended University at the State University of New York in the late '60s. I worked in the information technology field for the past 50 years and I can communicate at a very high level on a variety of subjects. I am equally at ease speaking to one person, one hundred or one thousand!

Unlike many Chinese business-folks who attend trade and fashion shows here in the United States, I know all the twists and turns, idioms and subtleties of the English language, and I can use that knowledge to represent your company and effectively communicate exactly what it is you want communicated to your prospective clients.

I became aware of the need of such a service last year when I consulted with and handled the Las Vegas MRket show arrangements for Red Collar, a manufacturer of men's suits and shirts located in northeast China. At the time, I was a dealer for Red Collar ( http://www.redcollar.com.cn ) and I agreed to do the show arrangements in exchange for a specified number of custom-made suits and shirts. At the last minute, Red Collar asked me to fly to Las Vegas and represent them at the MRket show for three days, with all expenses paid, plus additional compensation, etc. Red Collar was attempting a foot-hold in the American market with their division known as American Cameo, and they wanted a “Westerner” in their corner!

I realized at that moment that this was a service that many companies need - to increase their market segments, raise their profits, etc.

So, again I say, “I would like to represent your company at trade shows and other events in the United States.”

I currently live in Clearwater, Florida, just west of Tampa.

Please reply and we can discuss the future success of your company.

Sincerely, Steve Downing

Statement of Qualifications and Purpose:

I have worked in customer service, technical support and sales support throughout my career, as well as in retail sales, in-home sales and network marketing sales. I have sold custom-made men's shirts and suits, magazines, cakes, audio/visual media, website traffic, discount long-distance phone service, water treatment and purification systems and vitamin & mineral supplements - and I created a downline of 5,000 members in a network marketing company.

I'm also a “fashion bug!” I've been selling men's suits over the past few years (part-time) and amassed a total of over 25 custom-made suits and over 30 custom-made shirts, all purchased at discount.

I'm ex-military (US Naval Submarine Service), an excellent speaker (Toastmasters - multiple speaking-contest winner), former university athlete (attended university on athletic scholarship) and very good with people. I tell jokes, do magic tricks, pet dogs, etc.

I'm at ease around kings and peasants, executives and clerks, butchers, bakers and candle-stick makers.

I would love to represent your company at trade and fashion shows in north America.

I currently live in Clearwater, Florida, just west of Tampa.

Please reply and we can discuss the future success of your company.

Sincerely, Steve Downing
