Hey Denver! Looking for a good Cleaner

I'm actually in Boulder, but would travel for a good cleaner for my suits. Any recommendations? What about just pressing? Would you go to a cleaner or a tailor for that?

As long as we are at it, who do you recommend for tailoring?

I normally use Dependendable Cleaners on Court between 16th & 17th Street. They generally do a good job (although they once somehow managed to press a big crease into the breast of a jacket, but they re-pressed it free of charge when I pointed out the problem). For just pressing, if you can somehow find a tailor who'll do it for less than a dry cleaners, then I'd say good for you.

For tailoring, it depends on what you mean. For simple alterations (hemming, etc.), I use an alterations place just a few blocks from my house. For more elaborate alterations, I use Y & Y Tailoring & Alterations Specialists in Cherry Creek. Y & Y is the only place I know of in town that will do functional buttonholes on an unfinished jacket sleeve. If you mean a tailor who actually makes bespoke or MTM garments on the property, I don't know of any. I used to go to the Shirt Broker in the Tabor Center for MTM clothing (which they outsourced to someone else), but sadly they are going out of business in November. I believe Homer Reed, Ltd., Andrisen Morton, and Lawrence Covell all offer various forms of MTM tailoring.

La Nouvelle is the best (and most expensive) fabric care specialist in Colorado. They won "Best Cleaners in the US" last year. The best place to take your suits. Cherry Creek Cleaners is OK for more casual clothes or shirt laundry.
